Today we\'re going to give you a fitness tip and the fitness tip is going to come from a question of a member had given us a question about if I were to do a lot of legs and a thigh exercises, is that going to help reduce my legs and my thighs? It\'s a girl question. So I\'m going to give that one to you, Amber. So doing a bunch of leg exercises, hips and thighs and glute exercises. Is that going to reduce the hips and the thighs on the legs of a fitness? Uh, a girl wanting to lose weight on her hips and thighs. So, okay, well this kind of goes back to the podcast we did about spot reducing and, um, people like to do crunches to try and get six pack abs or they want it. Girls want to do a lot of the leg machines, the abductor and the adductor. And they went and worked inner and outer thighs and, um, they want to do a lot of leg workouts because, you know, as girls, we usually always hate our legs. They\'re kind of where we store fat and it\'s where our curves are and that\'s the one thing we want to target. Um, but doing more legs does not make your legs smaller unless you\'ve got a great nutrition plan alongside that, that\'s helping you lose weight. Um, we always recommend for women to do higher reps, lighter weight, um, and get almost more of a cardio session out of it. Just kind of fill a little bit of burn in the muscle, but not super heavy weight because then you\'re just going to pack on more muscle in your legs and end up having to go up a Jean size or your thighs will get bigger, which you don\'t want. So then then girls are a little confused why they\'re working out more, but their pants aren\'t fitting looser. So I think, yeah, and part of it is you really need to decide what\'s your goal. So what is the goal? Is the goal to have really super fit legs? We\'ve definitely got to start with the diet because naturally that\'s where we\'re going to carry weight. Um, or do you just want to be super strong in your legs? I mean, we know some girls that like to be power lifters or maybe they\'re college athletes, basketball or soccer athletes, and they\'re going to want more muscle and they\'re going to need more muscle for that season of their training. So that\'s their goal. So you need to understand what your goal is and that you\'re training properly for that goal to get the look that you want. So yeah. Well that\'s a great, uh, great, great. I agree with all that we\'ve trained fitness competitors and um, done fitness competition stuff and definitely, um, toning doing higher rep is really what you want to do. If you, you hypertrophy or really train the legs hard, they\'re going to, the muscles going to grow. And if it\'s growing and the fat layers not reducing, you\'re just getting bigger. So you want to reduce the fat and just tone up the hips and thighs and glutes. So there are smaller, more tight version of themselves. And that\'s the fitness tip. This is Charles and Amber Cola.
